Onboarding & Compliance Officer - Gibraltar

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly authorised Payment Service Provider operating within the context of a well-established and growing group. As our Onboarding & Compliance Officer, you'll sit at the heart of the business — bringing new merchants on board while helping to maintain the high regulatory standards expected of a GFSC-authorised institution.

You'll work closely with our Head of Compliance in Gibraltar, with real scope to develop your skills and grow alongside the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the end-to-end onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

  • Carrying out AML, KYC, and customer due diligence checks, including ongoing account reviews and periodic refreshes.

  • Identifying and escalating potential risks in line with our compliance framework and regulatory obligations.

  • Providing general customer support as required, acting as a knowledgeable and friendly point of contact.

  • Supporting the Head of Compliance with wider compliance and operational tasks as the business grows.

About you

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working to regulatory standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in payments, financial services, or a compliance/onboarding role is an advantage, though we'll consider candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.

  • Able to balance customer-facing warmth with the rigour that compliance work demands.
